The Wharton Club and the Penn Club Invite You to a Distillery Tour and Vodka Tasting at Federal Distilling, a craft distillery located in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. The distillery makes Stateside Urbancraft Vodka and is owned and managed in part by Clement Pappas, WG'09. Stateside Vodka is 7x Distilled, with zero sugar and zero carbohydrates. Stateside is naturally gluten free and made from GMO free corn. Every batch is aerated with medical grade oxygen and blended with a spectrum of minerals we have taken from pallet pleasing waters to enhance the flavor naturally.
NOSE- Clear and fresh with subtleties of citrus.
PALATE- Delicate with soft mineral notes and a gentle sweetness.
FINISH- Vibrant with a smooth silk finish.
APPROACH- Best served neat or on the rocks, while quietly disappearing into the best craft cocktails.

Among the growing number of craft distillers, Pappas says, very few are focused exclusively on vodka. Since whiskeys take years to age, “a lot of distillers are coming out with vodkas or gins or white whiskeys as a stopgap just so they can have a product to sell,” he adds. But Pappas liked that Federal Distilling would concentrate on making craft American vodkas—and only craft American vodkas—in the superpremium category.
