October 26th:  TAKING THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED WHEN YOU ARE CHANGING CAREERS

In today’s world people are stepping outside traditional roles and job titles and carving their own path to making a living. They're revolutionizing the process of career change as well as the careers they pursue. In every field, the rules of the game have changed. Both entrepreneurship and corporate careers are new games played by new rules. Alex Hillman meets hundreds of career changers each year. He's been a corporate player as well as an entrepreneur who's founded three businesses by reinventing the game. He'll be talking about how these changes lead to greater, more exciting opportunities for career changers today.

About our speaker:

Alex Hillman is always thinking about the intersection of people, relationships, trust and business. He’s an author, educator, and community builder. These days, he splits his time between operating Indy Hall, which is Philly’s oldest co-working space; teaching creative people how to bootstrap their own businesses at Stacking the Bricks, and collaborating with people and organizations towards the goal of helping 10,000 people become sustainably independent by 2029. Alex’s expertise has contributed to everything from academic research to mainstream media, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Philadelphia Inquirer, WIRED magazine, and many more.”
