Please join the Wharton Club of Philly and Kartik Hosangar for a virtual presentation on Tuesday, May 18th at 12 pm.  Kartik will discuss how Artificial Intelligence is permeating our society and everyday life, influencing what we do whether we realize it or not. Kartik Hosangar is an expert in the field of applied AI, combining research from his academic roles as professor at Wharton and director of Wharton's AI for Business with a AI-driven media consulting business. In his presentation, Kartik will share some of the latest use cases of AI in different industries as well as broader implications to society. The event will be moderated by Patrizio Cernetti, Senior Fellow at the Wharton Customer Analytics and VP of Operations at Sapient Industries.

BIO:
Kartik Hosanagar is the John C. Hower Professor of Technology and Digital Business at The Wharton School. Kartik’s research work focuses on the digital economy, in particular the impact of analytics and AI on consumers and society. He is the faculty director of Wharton’s AI for Business initiative and the author of the book A Human’s Guide to Machine Intelligence. He was a cofounder of Yodle which was listed among America’s fastest growing private companies prior to its acquisition by Web.com and is currently the founder of Jumpcut, a startup that is using data and tech to democratize Hollywood.
