Please join us for a special evening with Adrienne Harris, Former Special Assistant for Economic Policy to President Obama. Ms. Harris had a key role in financial reform and financial technology during the Obama administration, including chairing an intergovernmental group on fintech, convening a June 2016 White House Summit on Fintech, and leading the development and publication of White House Principles on Fintech. She will be speaking about financial reform, fintech, and women in financial services.

About Adrienne Harris

Adrienne Harris, Former Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy at the White House National Economic Council

Adrienne Harris is the former special assistant to the president for economic policy at the White House National Economic Council. Her portfolio includes financial regulatory reform, financial technology, cybersecurity, consumer protection, and housing finance reform.
She comes to the White House from the U.S. Department of Treasury, where she served as senior advisor to the deputy secretary. Prior to coming to Washington, D.C., Adrienne was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York, where her practice included representing financial institutions and other corporations in regulatory enforcement proceedings, complex civil litigations, and matters related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
While at the firm, Adrienne was tapped to serve as an advisor to Cory Booker’s 2013 senate campaign, and prior to that, as deputy campaign manager for his mayoral reelection bid in 2010. That same year, she served as executive director of the transition for Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance, Jr. Adrienne worked as a press secretary in Pennsylvania on President Obama’s first presidential campaign in 2008.
From 2007 to 2008, she was a judicial clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York for the honorable Stephen C. Robinson. Adrienne earned her MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business with specializations in economics and management, her JD from Columbia Law School, where she was a member of the Columbia Law Review, and her BA from Georgetown University, where was a John Carroll Scholar and graduated with honors.
