Career development is a lifelong process. Our goal is to provide Wharton MBA alumni with valuable resources and information to effectively navigate the career management process and facilitate successful career transitions.

JOB SEARCH RESOURCES

MBA Alumni Job Board – The MBA Alumni Job Board is a free searchable database comprised of over 1500 high quality postings annually from employ­ers and executive search firms.

Wharton Alumni Resume Book – MBA Career Management has partnered with MBA Focus to create a resume service that provides MBA alumni visibility to hiring professionals. Over 1,300 alumni have completed a profile in this searchable database.

Advising Session – MBA alumni can schedule an appointment with a MBA Career Management career advisor to discuss their job search and how to leverage Wharton resources toward achievement of short- and long-term career goals. Alumni can elect to schedule a phone or in-person advising appointment.

Executive Search Firms – For alumni with significant experience, executive search firms can be a helpful job search resource. Review information about the types of executive search firms and how to best leverage them in a job search.

External Career Coaching Services – MBA Career Management is pleased to provide a referral listing of external, professional career coaches to assist alumni with career assessment, job search transitions, career development, on-boarding, and executive coaching. These professionals have

diverse industry experience, educational training, and location experience.

RESEARCH & SKILL DEVELOPMENT RESOURCES

WetFeet Industry Guides – MBA Career Management is pleased to offer free access to over 50 industry insider guides, industry profiles, and career resources to assist alumni with industry research.

Factiva – Factiva is a comprehensive collection of business data compiled by Dow Jones and Reuters. This resource provides the ability to cross search over 12,000 websites and keeps you informed about business-driving news across industries. Factiva is provided as a service to MBA alumni of the Wharton School by MBA Career Management and Alumni Affairs.

Career Search© – Career Search© is an extensive database that includes over one million companies along with contact names, addresses, telephone numbers, and a variety of company background information. The database can be searched according to industry type, location, and keywords.

Resume Resources – MBA alumni have access to several new resume resources. These resources include Resume Writing Best Practices, a Frequently Asked Questions handout, and a Wharton Alumni Resume Template. 

 

InterviewStream© – This web-based program (in conjunction with webcam technology) is designed to produce the feel of a real interview in a non-threat­ening environment. This resource gives you the invaluable experience of watch­ing yourself answer pre-determined interview questions so you can assess your interview effectiveness both in content and delivery.

NETWORKING RESOURCES

WhartonConnect Alumni Directory – This resource can help you to connect with 85,000 alumni across industries and regions. As part of your ongoing job search and career development efforts, be sure to keep your Alumni Directory record up-to-date.

Wharton Alumni Clubs Directory – Wharton has more than 78 regional and affinity alumni clubs that alumni are encouraged to join and participate in.

Wharton LinkedIn Group – Wharton has an official Wharton Alumni LinkedIn group, which we encourage you to join. This resource is a dynamic way to stay in touch and network with classmates. You must be a degreed Wharton alumnus/a to become a member.

Global Events Calendar – This calendar provides an overview of alumni events in your area and across the globe.

Participation in these events can be a useful component of your networking and career development strategy.

Wharton Magazine – Exclusively for Wharton alumni and friends, Wharton Magazine is published four times a year, featuring stories about your fellow alumni and the latest happenings at the School.
