More About This Event and Its Wharton School Connection:
This event supports the University City Hospitality Coalition (UCHC), www.uc-hc.org , a non-profit organization that provides direct support services, including hot meals five days a week, medical, legal, and dental clinics, and assistance finding employment to many of our city's poor and homeless.
The students who organize this event work with UCHC annually for their Management 100 project in the Wharton Undergraduate Program. As part of this program the groups of first year undergraduate students work on a project with a nonprofit organization, and a team from this program has organized this benefit for our organization every year for the past 10 years. The proceeds of this benefit make a significant difference in UCHC’s operating budget each year, and the whole process of creating, planning, and executing the event is always very satisfying for the group. The team is made up of 9 18-year old freshmen Wharton students from around the world.
