Peter Drucker had a long history with Wharton, was considered by many to be the "father of modern management," and whose centenary is celebrated in 2009.

Author Bruce Rosenstein will speak about how to apply Drucker's principles for your individual self-development, rather than how Drucker's work is traditionally applied to managing organizations.

Suggestions and examples will be shared in such areas as:

*designing a "total life" that doesn't revolve exclusively around one area;

*creating your future through parallel and second careers;

*exercising your generosity in volunteering, mentoring and social entrepreneurship;

*seeking out opportunities in teaching and learning.
